Dr. Nirmal Madhavan, a seasoned international research scientist and passionate mentor, has guided over 1,000 students toward making the right choices in education and career globally. Through his initiative on nutruting Indian International Researchers via the PhD PDF Scholarship and podcast sessions (https://www.youtube.com/@phd_pdfscholarship) , he offers counseling and provides opportunities for students to connect with industry experts, professors, and scientific communities worldwide.
With a strong academic foundation, including a Ph.D. from Australia in collaboration with Tata Steel Netherlands and a masters degree from IIT, Dr. Madhavan brings unparalleled expertise and insight to career counseling. He has worked on prestigious projects with organizations such as Tata Steel Netherlands, the Indian Navy - Scorpene Class Submarine (Ministry of Defense), AirBus Aerospace- France and is currently a leading scientist in a European green research organization.

I recently attended a career guidance session with Carristra, and honestly, it was a really helpful experience. The session went on for about 4 to 5 hours, but it never felt exhausting or rushed. It was paced well and kept me involved the whole time. The counselor was one of the best parts of the session. They were easy to talk to, really patient, and actually listened to everything I had to say. It didn’t feel like I was being given some generic advice, it felt personal and based on who I am. The test we took was also quite interesting and gave me a better understanding of my strengths and interests. But what I liked the most was what came after that. They gave me access to a full website with different career options explained in detail, including the scope and opportunities in each field. What made it even better was that it was all curated based on my abilities, so it felt very relevant. Overall, I feel like it was time well spent. If someone is confused about what to do next or just wants a clearer idea about their career, this kind of session can really help

After completing my 10th, I was unsure about which stream to choose and what would suit me best. Before the session, I had ideas about different career options but no clear direction. Caristrra counselling helped me understand myself better my strengths, interests, and what truly suits me.
